Provider Resources

We are excited about participating in this innovative program, and we want to offer the provider community a variety of educational resources to learn more about it.

4 Things You Need to Know
  • The Cal MediConnect program launched in Los Angeles County with voluntary enrollment in April 2014 and passive enrollment in July 2014.
  • The Cal MediConnect program and L.A. Care will coordinate your patients’ medical, behavioral, and social care needs, with you as a central role in the care team.
  • This is a voluntary program; your patients can choose to opt out of Cal MediConnect. However, they must join a Medi-Cal health plan to continue to receive their Medi-Cal benefits, including Managed Long-Term Services & Supports (MLTSS) benefits.
  • Our L.A. Care Connections e-newsletter will be your source for the latest updates. Sign up to receive L.A. Care Connections by clicking on the Updates button from the home page.

For Members Affected by the Wildfires

L.A. Care wants to ensure you have access to needed health services as our state deals with the current wildfire disaster. If you have been impacted by the wildfires, please note the following:

  • Prescriptions can be refilled at an out-of-network pharmacy if medications have been lost or left behind. Call 1-888-839-9909 for further assistance.

  • Clinical Services can be accessed out-of-network if your usual provider is unable to work due to the wildfires. Call 1-888-522-1298 for guidance in this situation.

Medical transportation, mental health services and additional information is available at the L.A. Care website.
