Government Monitoring

There are a number of ways that the seniors and people with disabilities who are in the Cal MediConnect program are protected. The State of California is committed to ongoing reviews, surveys and assessments in an effort to meet and address the needs and concerns of members in the Cal MediConnect program. Continuity of Care

Members can ask to see a doctor they already have a relationship with if the following criteria are met:

  • Evidence of an existing relationship with the provider
  • Provider must be willing to accept plan reimbursement
  • No provider quality or credentialing issues
Stakeholder Engagement

L.A. Care is seeking feedback from advocates, community-based organizations (CBOs), agencies and consumers to inform health plan operations for this new program. Check our event listings for a Town Hall event near you.

For Members Affected by the Wildfires

L.A. Care wants to ensure you have access to needed health services as our state deals with the current wildfire disaster. If you have been impacted by the wildfires, please note the following:

  • Prescriptions can be refilled at an out-of-network pharmacy if medications have been lost or left behind. Call 1-888-839-9909 for further assistance.
  • Clinical Services can be accessed out-of-network if your usual provider is unable to work due to the wildfires. Call 1-888-522-1298 for guidance in this situation.
